Synopsis

Humans cannot handle magic without chanting. However, one girl has achieved the impossible. Monica Everett is one of the Seven Sages, the greatest of all mages in the Kingdom of Ridill. Known as the “Silent Witch,” she is the only mage in the world who can use unchanted magecraft. However... Painfully and unbelievably shy, she secluded herself deep in the mountains with her familiar, a black cat. Over there, she buries herself in magecraft research. One day, she is visited by Louis Miller, another member of the Seven Sages known as the “Barrier Mage,” who hands her a royal decree to go undercover at a prestigious academy, where she is to bodyguard the Second Prince without revealing her true identity. Monica, the shy and timid prodigy, accepts the task. Can she keep it together as she faces both the evil forces targeting the prince and the terrors of social interaction?
