Synopsis

One year after the SAO incident, Kirito is approached by Seijirou Kikuoka from Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Department "VR Division" with a rather peculiar request. Kikuoka has asked Kirito to investigate the "Death Gun" incident that occurred in the gun and steel filled VRMMO called Gun Gale Online (GGO). "Players who are shot by a mysterious avatar with a jet black gun lose their lives even in the real world." Failing to turn down Kikuoka's request, Kirito logs into GGO even though he is not completely convinced that what happens in the virtual world could directly and physically affect the real world. Kirito wanders in an unfamiliar world in order to gain any clues about the "Death Gun." Then, a female sniper named Sinon who owns a gigantic "Hecate II" rifle extends Kirito a helping hand. With Sinon's help, Kirito decides to enter the "Bullet of Bullets," a large tournament to choose the most powerful gunner within GGO, in hopes to become the target of the "Death Gun" and make direct contact with the mysterious avatar. Calibur The quest for ALO's legendary holy sword "Excalibur" has begun at last. Being given admin rights, Kirito once had a chance to hold the sword when he fought against Oberon. Now he challenges a quest to truly claim ownership of this legendary weapon, organizing a new party of seven with usual members as well as Sinon. But, they had yet to discover the secret behind the quest that can shake the world of ALO itself! Mother's Rosario One day, Asuna hears from Lisbeth that a mysterious avatar has been causing quite a commotion among the players. According to the rumor, the avatar has been defeating players in one-on-one duels using their original sword skill as a wager. After Kirito is beaten by the avatar named "Zekken (Absolute Sword)," Asuna challenges her to a duel! The match is very close but Asuna is defeated. After the duel Zekken invites Asuna to join her guild. However, there is the secret behind the sheer power of Zekken...
